| 19 May 2026 | Collision | Collided with the Panama-flagged Huge Kumano near Singapore's traffic lane. The incident occurred as Cape XL was departing an eastern bunker anchorage and joining the eastbound lane, striking Huge Kumano's port side. This resulted in structural damage, with Cape XL's bow embedded in Huge Kumano. Both vessels were incapacitated temporarily post-collision, later showing stopped or drifting conditions in Singapore Anchorage. The cause remains unknown, but by 21 May, both vessels reached their respective destinations: Cape XL at Batu Ampar Anchorage, Indonesia, and Huge Kumano in Singapore. |
