27 Jul 2025OtherFive Extinction Rebellion activists were arrested on July 27th after a two-hour protest blocked cruise ship Celebrity Eclipse (IMO 9404314) from docking at the Amsterdam Passenger Terminal. The activists used boats and canoes to block the vessel. The arrests were for assault, spraying the ship, and refusing identification, while the protesters claimed harbour boats had deliberately run over their boats.

The ship, which was carrying about 3000 people, had just completed a cruise to New Zealand, including stops to Christchurch and Dunedin.
