| 03 Sep 2023 | Mechanical Fault | A ramp collapsed with a loaded heavy truck on it during the discharge operation of trucks from the upper deck of ferry due to failure of ramp hydraulic system at Famagusta, Turkey. The truck driver was seriously injured and taken to the state hospital by ambulance. The Chief Officer and Captain of the ferry were arrested by the Public Prosecutor and vessel was not allowed to depart until the completion of investigations. Repairs were started by the crew with shore based technical support teams. |
