Reported Sold'Shuttle tanker player KNOT Offshore Partners is swapping ships with parent Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers (KNOT) via a sale and purchase deal that will see it end up with a 10-year younger and larger model.
The New York-listed firm has agreed to buy the 2021-built 152,800 dwt suezmax Tuva Knutsen from KNOT while selling its 2011-built 57,600 dwt shuttle taker, Dan Cisne.
The purchase price for the Tuva Knutsen is $97.5m less $69m of outstanding debt plus $0.4m of capitalised fees related to the credit facility secured by the vessel. The partnership is selling the Dan Cisne for $30m. The prices are due to be set off, with the result that a net payment of $1.1m is due to be paid by KNOT to the partnership, subject to customary adjustments relating to working capital.'
