DateTypeDetails
14 Feb 2026FireFire broke out from the engine room of the cargo vessel in the Baltic Sea, near Gotska Sandön, Sweden, during its journey from Setúbal, Portugal, to Kokkola, Finland. The crew managed to control the fire after the vessel's automatic extinguishing system was activated. There were no reported injuries among the nine crew members. The Swedish Coast Guard responded swiftly, securing the vessel and towing it with the KBV 002 Triton to prevent grounding. The situation is now under control, with the crew still on board.
