By 7 February, Frio Naruto regained propulsion and continued its journey, escorted by the supply vessel Galvarino, and is expected to reach Tema, Ghana, by 22 February.

The vessel, sailing from Coronel, Chile, to Tema, Ghana, issued a distress call and was subsequently assisted by the supply vessel ATF 66 Galvarino and patrol boat LSG 73 Isaza, along with aerial support from a helicopter and reconnaissance aircraft. By February 7, the vessel regained propulsion and continued its journey, escorted by Galvarino until leaving the Beagle Naval District.
