| 21 Sep 2023 | Engine Fault | UPDATE: 14-Feb-2024 The captain of the vessel was arrested for abducting three people who had come on board the vessel as inspectors for a buyer in Turkey. They were told the ship will have to be moved to an anchorage in Izmir when in fact the captain was intending to sail to Egypt. The Hellenic Coast Guard ordered the vessel to head into the anchorage at Chios where she was boarded by a Special Missions Unit. UPDATE: 05-Feb-2024 Inspectors at the port of Kiel found 42 deficienecies and detained the vessel. An agreement was reached to end the detention in Germany after three months and the vessel was supposed to call at a Dubai repair yard. She failed to do so and was banned from European ports. Tanker suffered engine fault after entering Holtenau locks of Kiel Canal, Germany. She was unable to reverse engine so tugs pulled her out of lock and berthed at N Jetty of Kiel. Later she was towed to Shore Port of Kiel. |
