After being held for over 18 months as a "tourist attraction," the ship was reclassified by the Israeli government as "terrorist infrastructure" used for maritime observation. On July 6, 2025, the Israeli Air Force conducted targeted airstrikes on the vessel during "Operation Black Flag," causing major structural damage. Voyage Details: En route from Korfez, Turkey, to Pipavav, India, at the time of hijacking. Outcome: The vessel has partially sunk at the stern and is currently grounded at the Ras Isa oil terminal. Imagery from April and May 2026 confirms the stern is submerged while the bow remains raised at a steep angle. The 25 crew members were released in January 2025; however, the ship remains a wreck as salvage or refloating resources are unavailable in the region. No recent injuries or pollution have been reported, though the hull's integrity remains a long-term environmental concern.
