01 Feb 2025PiracyWhile underway, an engine department crew member sighted five perpetrators coming out of the engine room. The engineer immediately reported to the chief engineer, who then informed the bridge. The alarm was raised and a search was conducted with no perpetrators found. A surveillance camera recording in the engine room also revealed the perpetrators coming out of the engine room. The crew was not injured. Nothing was stolen. The incident was reported to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). The shipping company also reported the incident to the Maritime Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan. (Recaap)
