| 11 May 2021 | Collision | collided with inland cargo ship Bacchus in Outer Maas during the evening of May 11th in the Barendrecht area of Rotterdam. Nordersand was en route from Rotterdam to Moerdijk port, while Bacchus was en route from Dordrecht to Barendrecht, proceeding in opposite directions. The Bacchus bow was severely damaged and the vessel was taken to Europort and berthed. The Nordersand suffered a starboard hull breach several metres long above the waterline amidships. The ship remained at the collision site for some time. Later it was taken to Rotterdam, and berthed. |
