Their vessel capsized near Playa Sardinera, where the park rangers heard cried for help and contacted US Coast Guard, which deployed the cutter "USCGC Margaret Norvell" and an Ocean Sentry aircraft for search and rescue operations. KYDON was sailing nearby and promptly provided assistance. All 6 migrants were safe and will be returned to their home country. |
