18 Jan 2026SankHeavy load carrier Mini Star (IMO 8215613) between January 18th and 19th in the Mediterranean Sea, approximately 20nm north of Libya. She began rolling heavily and developed a severe starboard list, causing her deck cargo of trucks and machinery to shift. She subsequently capsized and sank. All crew members were rescued by the bulk carrier Golden Beijing (IMO 9439412) and transported to Malta. Prior to the incident, she had been detained in December 2025 with 17 technical deficiencies.
